But in market there so many lens option available from different companies, so that it is little bit confusing for the buyer. That’s why it is very important to get right knowledge about lens types. Regarding this we have already seen ‘types of lenses based on their working’, in last post. (Click here to read it if you haven’t.:- Types of lenses part 1 ).      However in this post we will be getting information about ‘lens types based on focal length’ . For that, let’s first understand the concept of FOCAL LENGTH. Because of the concave and convex glass elements in lens, light gets concentrated at a single point inside the lens. That point is called as ‘Focal point’ of that lens. And the distance of this point from the camera sensor is called as ‘FOCAL LENGTH’ of that particular lens.       Generally this distance or focal leng...

What’s use of the body without a SOUL? They both exist because of each other. Same is the case with camera and it’s sensor. Sensor is the SOUL of camera. Without it, camera is just a toy. Let’s take a deep look at this subject in this post.      We know that lens does the work of concentrating incoming light on the sensor. Mirror and prism assembly lets us see that light. Processor and memory card is ready to work on light. But if there is no sensor in the camera, then how the incoming light will be saved? That’s why sensor holds utmost importance in photography.  Does this mean that ‘it’s possible to not have other parts in the camera?’ If thought on deeply, it is actually like that. Because the word photography itself means ‘A painting drawn with light’. May it be good or bad, it will still be a photograph.  Consider following points for this. - If there is no lens, light will not be concentrated on sensor, but light will fall on the sensor...
