     Whenever I tell people that I do photography, most of them tend to ask ‘which type of photography: Wedding photography or Wildlife photography?’. I don’t know about other countries, but is it very much common in my country India, that most people know only these two types of photography.    Earlier there were only few types of photography, based on popular niches at that time. But as the need of specific photos increased, types went on increasing and today many of the photographers only focus on one niche and specialize in that.      Consider there are two persons, one with a Civil engineering degree and another with a Master’s degree in Structural Design. So both will be able to design a simple residential house. But in case of designing a Railway bridge, the person with Master’s degree in designing will be preferred, as he is having more deep knowledge and capability of doing that work.       Same is the case with Photography. Only medium changes according to the work. Mobile is also able to take photos. But for serious professional work, you need to have a camera because it is designed and dedicated to that only.       ‘Which is better: Mobile or camera?’ is an unending topic for discussion. Many of us must have seen some movies in which hero or heroine is shown as a person who sacrifices his/her career to do photography/videography and travels around the world, living dream life. After watching that, we always wish to have the life, in which we do what we love and also earn decent amount of money from that. At that time I always remember some lines heard or read many times now-a-days, such as ‘Follow your passion and the success will follow you’, ‘Your job will not make memories, your hobbies will’, ‘Do what you like.
